       CARROLL COUNTY:  No cases of any type.

 

   OTHER NOTES: 

·       WHO’s Global Pandemic Phase remains at FIVE (SIX is highest). Measures spread, not severity.

·       Additional 704 probable cases reported nationwide; total of confirmed and probable cases is 3,322 in 46 states.

·       73 U. S. hospitalizations (as of 8 May 2009)

·       30 countries officially reporting 4,694 cases (Source: WHO as of 10 May 2009).

·       Third U. S. death occurred Sunday – an unidentified man in his 30s from Snohomish County, Washington. Reported to have had underlying medical conditions.

 

CURRENT PUBLIC HEALTH RECOMMENDATIONS FOR A CARROLL COUNTY RESPONSE:

·       Nothing other than previously recommended.  There continues to be no recommendation to cancel any public gathering nor should colleges alter their format/protocol for graduation ceremonies.
