CCHD Mass Vaccination Centers (MVC)

The following MVCs have been cancelled due to vaccine shortage:

· Saturday, November 14, 2009 at Parr’s Ridge Elementary School.

· Saturday, November 14, 2009 at North Carroll Middle School.

· Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at the Manchester Activity Building.

· Saturday, November 21, 2009 – Location was to be announced.

The following MVCs are currently scheduled depending on vaccine availability:

· Saturday, November 21, 2009 at Century High School, 355 Ronsdale Road, Sykesville, Maryland, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm or until vaccine runs out. MVC limited to the following priority groups:

Pregnant women

Household contacts and caregivers for children younger

Than 6 months of age

Healthcare and Emergency medical services personnel

Children and young adults aged 6 months to 24 years

Persons aged 25 through 64 with chronic medical conditions

· Monday, November 23, 2009 at Friendship Valley Elementary School, 1100 Gist Road, Westminster, Maryland - 10:00 am to 5:00 pm or until vaccine runs out. MVC limited to children age 5 and under. Injections and FluMist (LAIV) will be available.

The MVC held on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at the Shipley Arena of the Carroll County Agricultural Center immunized approximately 2,700 Carroll Countians from 10:30 am to 5:30 pm – many, many young kids.
